Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., on Tuesday rejected that he had an improper sexual relationship with a 17-year-old young lady in the midst of new reports that the Justice Department was exploring the supposed relationship - asserting the test was important for a detailed coercion conspire. 


The examination, first announced by The New York Times, started the previous summer and spotlights on whether Gaetz had a sexual relationship with an underage young lady and paid for her to go with him, and whether he abused government sex dealing laws, a source mindful of the examination affirmed to ABC News. 


Gaetz told the Times that his legal counselors were educated that he was the subject, not the objective, of an examination. 


"I have not had a relationship with a 17-year-old. That is absolutely bogus," Gaetz disclosed to Fox News' Tucker Carlson in a meeting Tuesday night. "That is bogus and records will bear that out to be bogus."

The New York Times announced that the investigation into Gaetz is essential for a bigger investigation into Joel Greenberg, a previous Florida official prosecuted the previous summer on charges that included sex dealing of a kid and monetarily supporting individuals in return for sex. Greenberg has argued not blameworthy. 


On Fox News, Gaetz - who, as indicated by an Axios report prior on Tuesday, had been telling comrades he was thinking about resigning from Congress and perhaps joining the traditional news source Newsmax - seemed to affirm the examination when he said he was drawn closer by somebody who asserted he could "make this examination disappear." 


"There was an interest for cash in return for a responsibility that he could make this examination disappear alongside his co-schemers," Gaetz said, recognizing the supposed scoundrel as previous DOJ official David McGee.

McGee didn't react to ABC News' solicitation for input. In a meeting with the Washington Post, McGee denied Gaetz's case that he was essential for a blackmail exertion focusing on the Florida representative. 


"It is totally bogus. It's a barefaced endeavor to occupy from the way that he's being scrutinized for sex dealing of minors," McGee told the Post. "I have no association with that case by any means, other than, one of 1,000 individuals who have heard the bits of gossip." 


"I do accept that there are individuals at the Department of Justice who are attempting to spread me," Gaetz said on Fox News. 


In an explanation from his office, Gaetz said he had been helping out specialists and that his dad "has even been wearing a wire" at the FBI's heading "to get these hoodlums" trying to coerce him for $25 million.

Asked in the Fox News talk with how long the examination had been going on, Gaetz said "I don't have the foggiest idea," and proceeded to propose that somebody is charging there are "pictures of me with youngster whores," which he asserted was "clearly bogus." 


At a certain point during the meeting, Gaetz guaranteed that two years prior he ate with Carlson and brought a "companion" who was "really compromised by the FBI, informed that on the off chance that she wouldn't cop to the way that by one way or another I was engaged with some compensation for-play conspire that she could confront inconvenience." But Carlson instantly denied understanding what Gaetz was looking at, reacting: "I don't recall the lady you're talking about or the setting by any means, sincerely." 


Subsequent to getting back from a business break, Carlson called the portion "probably the most peculiar meeting I've at any point led."
